[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/willpate/274731483/?ref=chrismessina.me)[Word came out](http://www.flock.com/node/8465?ref=chrismessina.me) that Flock Community Ambassador [Will Pate](http://www.willpate.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) will be [flying the coop](http://www.willpate.com/2006/12/11/sublimating/?ref=chrismessina.me) and moving to a part time contract position, [handing over much](http://www.flock.com/node/8465?ref=chrismessina.me#comment-16528) of the community management to [Evan Hamilton](http://www.flock.com/member/evan-hamilton?ref=chrismessina.me). Although [Teh Flock](http://www.flock.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [claims support by such personalities as Borat](http://www.flock.com/node/8386?ref=chrismessina.me) (*no comment*), [plans](http://wiki.flock.com/index.php?title=Flock%5FRoadmap&ref=chrismessina.me) for the fabled One Dot Oh (so called Euphonia) remain obscure at best. And while the [latest nightlies](http://tinderbox.flock.com/builds/trunk/?ref=chrismessina.me) suggest that there's [certainly been work going on behind the scenes](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/sets/72157594393370352/?ref=chrismessina.me), it's hard to get a sense for where the product direction and vision are coming from. In talking to Will, it seems the [new CEO](http://www.flock.com/press/11062006.php?ref=chrismessina.me), [Shawn Hardin](http://www.flock.com/about/8221?ref=chrismessina.me), who [took over](http://mashable.com/2006/09/13/flock-ceo-jumps-ship/?ref=chrismessina.me) from [Bart Decrem](http://bart.decrem.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [in November](http://mashable.com/2006/11/06/flock-gets-a-new-boss-flock-10-coming/?ref=chrismessina.me), is taking his time to examine the environment and consider a path forward. I've not yet had a chance to talk to Shawn about his plans, but I do hope that, with all the turmoil and turnover that Flock's seen since its launch, he's able to set a clear course and deliver on the promise and potential of the social browser.
