[](http://barcamp.org/BarCampAustin?ref=chrismessina.me)Hot on the [news](http://www.bmc.com/BMC/News/CDA/hou%5FPressRelease%5Fdetail/0,3519,8573740%5F0%5F75225900,00.html?ref=chrismessina.me) that [BarCampAustin](http://barcamp.org/BarCampAustin?ref=chrismessina.me) co-organizer [Whurley](http://whurley.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) has [joined BMC Software as Chief Evil Genius](http://talk.bmc.com/podcasts/podcast-hurley?ref=chrismessina.me), we're kicking off the start of BarCamp/[Refresh](http://upcoming.org/event/155659/?ref=chrismessina.me)/Dorkbot at [Bourbon Rocks](http://www.google.com/maps?hl=eni&q=bourbon+rocks&near=Austin,+TX&radius=0.0&cid=30266944,-97742778,4862772145321950460&li=lmd&z=14&t=m&ref=chrismessina.me) in Austin alongside the start of [SXSW](http://upcoming.org/event/90305/?ref=chrismessina.me). A couple notes... [BarCampAustin](http://upcoming.org/event/119910/?ref=chrismessina.me) starts started today and continues into tomorrow (yes, this overlaps with the first day of SXSWi). Highlights include [$10 screenprinting of your own custom BarCamp tshirt](http://barcamp.org/BarCampAustin?ref=chrismessina.me#tshirts) and Austin favorite SoulHat will be playing Saturday Night -- along with other surprises throughout. As co-organizer Erica O'Grady says, This is definitely going to be a BarCamp you won't want to miss ;) Now, as for agendas... just want to point out that we'll probably be doing both a session and a coordinating meeting of some kind related to coworking tomorrow. This is [the meeting that we previously discussed](http://groups.google.com/group/coworking/browse%5Fthread/thread/19f04ee21c118809?ref=chrismessina.me) but didn't set a definite time on. I think it'd be best if we planned to take this on tomorrow from 3:30 to 4:30 -- trying hard not to conflict with [too many panels](http://sxsw07.conferenceer.com/panels?ref=chrismessina.me)... so that Tara can join in, since she'll be jetting off to Vegas to perform reconnaissance at [Community Two Point Oh Con](http://upcoming.org/event/126423/?ref=chrismessina.me). Otherwise, the rest of the week is pretty well covered by [Jeremy Keith's](http://adactio.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [microformats mashup](http://austin.adactio.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) until we arrive at the [BarCampPlannersSummit](http://barcamp.org/BarCampPlannersSummit?ref=chrismessina.me) on [Thursday](http://upcoming.org/event/154898?ref=chrismessina.me). So, while I'm at it, I want to pimp out Twitter (not like it needs it -- but you can follow what's going on by sending the command [join sxsw](http://twitter.com/blog/2007/03/text-join-sxsw-to-40404.html?ref=chrismessina.me) \-- though unfortunately there's no "unjoin" if you want to tune us all out) and [Conferenceer](http://sxsw07.conferenceer.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) \-- both will prove indispensable tools throughout the week and beyond.
