[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/219618508/?ref=chrismessina.me)[Dave Watanabe](http://www.newsfirex.com/blog/?ref=chrismessina.me) (of [Aquisition](http://acquisitionx.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) fame) is offering a pretty sweet deal **this weekend only**: For the $18.99 pricetag of [NewsFire](http://www.newsfirex.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) (his slick feed reader) you'll also get a free license for [Inquisitor](http://www.inquisitorx.com/?ref=chrismessina.me), his Spotlight-like search add-on for Safari and Camino (which, incidentally, is what [Flock](http://flock.com/?ref=chrismessina.me)'s search interface is influenced by). 25% off. Not bad.**Coming clean:** If you read [Dave's post](http://www.newsfirerss.com/blog/?p=138&ref=chrismessina.me), he's offered bloggers who write about his offer a free license to Inquisitor. This post qualified me for that promotion, as [David Emery points out](http://de-online.co.uk/2006/08/21/trust?ref=chrismessina.me). However, since I actually bought NewsFire as a result of that promotion, I ended up with an extra Inquisitor license anyway, so it's not like I made out like a bandit as David alleges. Anyway, rather than be held to account for a benefit I received but didn't disclose, there ya go -- my admission of impropriety. ;)Via [Digg](http://digg.com/apple/Buy%5FNewsFire%5FGet%5FInquisitor%5FFree%5FBlog%5FIt%5FGet%5FInquisitor%5FFree?ref=chrismessina.me).

\[...\] happy to get a license, but that’s not why I chose to blog about it, though that has been a partial motivator in the past. Tags: macosx, potion factory, soundflavor, tangerineappShare \[...\]
