So I decided last minute to stage a "metacamp" (maybe Andy's [right](http://an9.org/blog/2006/02/20/lets-put-on-water-skis/?ref=chrismessina.me) but the party goes on). Basically a bunch of us are going to meet up down the hall from the mini Maker Faire at 8pm in the Elizabeth Ballroom area (@ ETech) and talk [Bar](http://barcamp.org/?ref=chrismessina.me). Maybe even some [Foo](http://wiki.oreillynet.com/foo-camp/index.cgi?ref=chrismessina.me). Heh. Anyway, topics I'd like to hit on: *The State of the Bar*, *Lessons learned thus far*, tactics for [Spreading Bar Camp](http://barcamp.org/SpreadBarCamp?ref=chrismessina.me), and maybe even get in a little [Coworking](http://coworking.pbwiki.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) talk. Right after that, we're all gunna head over to Caskhacks to continue the discussion... and get the party going (though of course it's *not quite* a [party unless](http://flickr.com/photos/missrogue/tags/bratpack20/?ref=chrismessina.me) [Miss Rogue](http://horsepigcow.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) is there... which she will be for this Friday's [Bar Camp Austin](http://barcamp.org/BarCampAustin?ref=chrismessina.me)!).

Wish I caught this earlier. It'd be nice to pimp the DevHouse and push similar repeatability while maintaining that it's not a "camp." ;)

Termie's [HOWTO: Organize a DevHous](http://an9.org/devdev/howto-devhouse?ref=chrismessina.me) seems relevant. I found it very well written, and spoke to my limited experience. Great opportunity for you all to give feedback, and build on what he wrote.

How did it go?

It went pretty well actually -- quite a bit of interest for something that started out with 4 folks. We ended up with maybe 25 people there -- and the next day someone setup a Barcamp Etech!
