Meant to blog this yesterday, but you know how that goes. [Zack](http://zacker.org/?ref=chrismessina.me)'s full of big announcements this month over at [CivicSpace](http://civicspacelabs.org/?ref=chrismessina.me), this time revealing that [CompuMentor has assumed fiscal sponsorship](http://civicspacelabs.org/home/node/16602?ref=chrismessina.me) of the 501c3 arm of CivicSpace (to complement CivicSpace, Inc., which provide [hosted services](http://factoryjoe.com/blog/2006/03/17/civicspace-announces-hosted-alpha-test/?ref=chrismessina.me) a la [Bryght](http://bryght.com/?ref=chrismessina.me)). So while his press release could use some [Pinko Marketing love](http://www.horsepigcow.com/2006/03/pinko-marketing.html?ref=chrismessina.me), I've gotta give him props for a great [screencast](http://www.zacker.org/node/30?ref=chrismessina.me) of a project that's been underway for sometime called Magic Groups (a mashup of [Organic Groups](http://drupal.org/project/og?ref=chrismessina.me) and other Drupal modules). I'd love to use this for Barcamps and at it the [CivicForge](http://civicforge.pbwiki.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) collection of tools. So besides software announcements, I also discovered that they're organizing something called [Drupal Camp](http://www.zacker.org/drupal-camp?ref=chrismessina.me) (in case you [missed it](http://factoryjoe.com/blog/2006/03/22/drupal-camp-coming-to-the-bay-area/?ref=chrismessina.me) in my [asides](http://factoryjoe.com/blog/category/asides/?ref=chrismessina.me)). Less Barcamp, more seminar, but still worth checking out!
