# DHX: The audience is hacking

[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/153288490/?ref=chrismessina.me)In case you haven't heard, this [weekend](http://upcoming.org/event/79291/?ref=chrismessina.me) is the 10th [SuperHappyDevHouse](http://superhappydevhouse.org/?ref=chrismessina.me), otherwise known as "DHX" and will be held at France Telecom's South San Francisco HQ. This devhouse is different than previous devhouses in that it's taking place somewhere other than [David Weekly](http://david.weekly.org/?ref=chrismessina.me)'s house and it's also being run as a contest to see who can build the best self-sustaining and self-running money-printing machine in a weekend. As David says in this [video](http://blip.tv/file/get/Ryanne-SuperHappyDevHouseX760.mov?ref=chrismessina.me) ([from Ryanne](http://ryanedit.blogspot.com/2006/05/super-happy-dev-house-x.html?ref=chrismessina.me)), if you can build a business in a weekend (like he did with [PBWiki](http://pbwiki.com/?ref=chrismessina.me)) that says something pretty interesting about the time that we're living in (not to mention the irrational exuberance picking up again). Oh, and there'll be a party this Friday kicking off at 7pm, leading into the [weekend-long event](http://upcoming.org/event/79291/?ref=chrismessina.me). Bonus trivia: all proceeds will be donated to the [CCCP](http://www.communitycolo.net/?ref=chrismessina.me).

the SS-SR-MoneyPrinting Machine had me chuckling!! good one!!!!!!! ;)) sounds a little like Cold Fusion or the vaunted Segway in stealth-mode\*

this reminds me of an interesting Art installation i saw at the Power Plant gallery where a conveyor belt with discarded Photographs from a One Hour Photo Lab we're heading to shredded destruction. People could stop that from happening by inserting a Loonie ($Dollar) & the Photograph would be Saved!! kinda like the old Buy this Magazine or I will shoot this Dog\* ;)) can't wait to see the results of this July 4th!!
