[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/425802569/?ref=chrismessina.me)I've give credit to [Tara](http://horsepigcow.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) for provoking this one. [*i use this*](http://osx.iusethis.com/?ref=chrismessina.me), one of [my favorite](http://osx.iusethis.com/user/factoryjoe?ref=chrismessina.me) Mac OS X software sites, has [enabled OpenID consumption](http://blog.iusethis.com/iusethis-now-supports-openid-for-authentication/?ref=chrismessina.me) using [miyagawa’s](http://blog.bulknews.net/?ref=chrismessina.me) [OpenID plugin for Catalyst](http://search.cpan.org/~miyagawa/Catalyst-Plugin-Authentication-Credential-OpenID-0.01/lib/Catalyst/Plugin/Authentication/Credential/OpenID.pm?ref=chrismessina.me). Note: I hadn't realized, but despite its Rails-like trappings, *i use this* is actually a Perl app powered by [Catalyst](http://catalyst.perl.org/?ref=chrismessina.me). One issue that was revealed in using the Catalyst library concerned Yadis discovery of delegated OpenIDs. Until I hear from [Marcus](http://osx.iusethis.com/user/marcus/3?ref=chrismessina.me), you'll either need to use your direct OpenID URLs or the traditional meta-tag method of delegation until support for Yadis is baked into the library.
