[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/288620548/?ref=chrismessina.me)Let everyone else build the [frames](http://mozilla.com/products/firefox?ref=chrismessina.me) and the [platforms](http://blackberry.net/?ref=chrismessina.me)... it'll be Google Content thru and thru. In fact now you can grab all four of Google's mobile services, including:

- Search
- Maps
- Gmail
- Google News

... in [one fell swoop](http://www.google.com/m/products?ref=chrismessina.me) (load on your mobile device, [direct download](http://www.google.com/gmm/pack/v1.2.4/en/BlackBerry-8700%5Fv4%5F1/pack-15.jad?ref=chrismessina.me)). This bundle includes the [Gmail client](http://gmail.com/app?ref=chrismessina.me) that Google [recently](http://gigaom.com/2006/11/02/gmail-mobile/?ref=chrismessina.me) [released](http://www.google.com/press/pressrel/mail%5Fmobileclient.html?ref=chrismessina.me), though with a set of four alternative icons. The set will also notify you when new versions are available. Admittedly, these are some very useful and pretty well-designed applications for BlackBerry mobile users. The question is -- [where's](http://microsoft.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [the](http://apple.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [competition](http://yahoo.com/?ref=chrismessina.me)?

I hear the mobile version of the Google Reader is nice as well (or so [says Boris Mann](http://www.bmannconsulting.com/blog/bmann/switching-to-google-reader?ref=chrismessina.me)).
