I'm a bit late with this [news](http://www.red-sweater.com/press/MarsEditAcquisition.html?ref=chrismessina.me), but since [MarsEdit](http://www.red-sweater.com/marsedit/?ref=chrismessina.me) is my blogging tool of choice, I thought that I'd note that [Newsgator has decided](http://www.rassoc.com/gregr/weblog/archive.aspx?post=827&ref=chrismessina.me) to [sell MarsEdit to Red Sweater Software](http://www.red-sweater.com/blog/282/red-sweater-acquires-marsedit?ref=chrismessina.me) ([Brent Simmons](http://ranchero.com/2007/02/22.php?ref=chrismessina.me) has more, as does [Gus Mueller](http://gusmueller.com/blog/archives/2007/02/red%5Fsweater%5Facquires%5Fmarsedit.html?ref=chrismessina.me) (former MarsEdit developer) ), makers of [FlexTime](http://www.red-sweater.com/flextime/?ref=chrismessina.me). Here's to a 2.0 release sooner than later!
