[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/81417848/?ref=chrismessina.me)Today I'll be hosting the [third](http://mashpit.pbwiki.com/MashPitSanFranciscoIII?ref=chrismessina.me) [Mash Pit](http://mashpit.org/?ref=chrismessina.me) in San Francisco at the [Wharton West](http://wharton.upenn.edu/campus/wharton%5Fwest/?ref=chrismessina.me), downtown at [101 Howard Street, Suite 500](http://maps.yahoo.com/beta/index.php?ref=chrismessina.me#maxp=location&gid1=21348340&q1=101+Howard+Street,+Suite+500++San+Francisco,+CA+94105+&trf=0&mvt=m&lon=-122.389305&lat=37.792151&mag=3). Things kick off at 10am and go until 5pm (not 6pm, necessitated by the facilities and the fact that we'll be *hungry*!). What can you expect? Well, it's pretty simple. The goal of the day is work on mashups -- particularly ones that work on solving "*human problems*" -- like making it easier to find wifi cafes in the city or autotag your photos based on your [Upcoming](http://upcoming.org/?ref=chrismessina.me) or [EVDB](http://eventful.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) account (which, by the way, is really about making it easier to help folks find your photos later). [Tara](http://horsepigcow.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) and I came up with the [agenda](http://mashpit.pbwiki.com/MashPitSanFranciscoIII?ref=chrismessina.me#agenda) this morning. We've got a bit of experience now, so we'll see how it goes! And of course, after this is all over, tonight is the [Microformats 1-year Anniversary Party](http://upcoming.org/event/72306/?ref=chrismessina.me) at [111 Minna](http://www.111minnagallery.com/?ref=chrismessina.me). We're pretty excited about how far this little fledgling community project has come in the last year and want to celebrate! It gets going around 8pm -- *and*, if you can't be there, you can always [order a shirt](http://microformats.org/blog/2006/06/19/get-a-microformats-t-shirt/?ref=chrismessina.me)! Ah! And before I forget, a **big thanks** to Tara, [Tantek](http://tantek.com/?ref=chrismessina.me), the [Supernova](http://supernova2006.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) folks (especially Kevin and Jeanne!), and [Mozes](http://mozes.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) for helping make Mash Pit possible!

Thanks for hosting the Mashpit... I had a lot of fun meeting people with the same shared interest. Also, I uploaded a PNG version of the Mashpit logo onto the Wiki. Lossless 24-bit transparency rules!
