[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/247623969/?ref=chrismessina.me)[Drew "All in the Head" McLellan](http://allinthehead.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) has made an [awesome bookmarklet](http://microformats.org/discuss/mail/microformats-discuss/2006-September/005558.html?ref=chrismessina.me) called [rel-lint](http://tools.microformatic.com/help/xhtml/rel-lint/?ref=chrismessina.me) that detects XFN, rel-tag and other microformats:

> This is a [lint tool](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lint%5Fprogramming%5Ftool?ref=chrismessina.me) (like a non-authoritative validator) for [XFN](http://microformats.org/wiki/xfn?ref=chrismessina.me), [rel-tag](http://microformats.org/wiki/rel-tag?ref=chrismessina.me) and other [microformats](http://microformats.org/?ref=chrismessina.me) that make use of the rel attribute of links. It takes the form of a bookmarklet you can add to your browser and then run against any page. rel-lint will check for known XFN values, flag values it doesn't recognise (even though they may well be correct) and display the tag values for rel-tagged links.
