Well, maybe *eventually* (I mean, there's no point using hyperbole when the event itself will prove its awesomeness) but it's going to be one helluva time regardless -- [organized](http://whurley.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [by](http://www.gat5art.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [local](http://ravenzachary.blogspot.com/2006/03/bar-camp-austin-on-saturday.html?ref=chrismessina.me) [folks](http://artofsystems.blogspot.com/2006/03/bar-camp-austin.html?ref=chrismessina.me), for [local](http://www.richardgoodwin.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) folks and welcoming all the out of towners who are arriving for [SXSW](http://2006.sxsw.com/?ref=chrismessina.me). Looking forward to seeing y'all there tonight and tomorrow! Come ready to pitch in to make this the camp the one that really sets the bar for all subsequent camps!

\[...\] So who all should you watch for here in Austin? Well, there will definitely be updates from snarksters Valleywag and Supr.c.ilio.us. The men behind two of the most popular free services on the web, Craig Newmark and Jimmy Wales, will be having a keynote conversation on Monday — check out Nicholas Carr’s thoughts on Craig’s recent interview witht he Rocky Mountain News. Joi Ito will be in town, and has even set up a wiki to communicate during the festival. Jeff Veen is a conference-attending madman, so of course he’ll be here drinking beer. Eric Rice gives you an introduction to Second Life so you don’t look like an idiot when chatting up the folks from Linden Labs. And with the aforementioned Mr. Messina in town, there will be a BarCamp. \[...\]

@tommy: sadly no. But then again, I'm not sure what I'd do with such raw orange power. ;)
