# TechMeme hacked... again!

It's fun to get the echosphere to play together, isn't it? So when [Chris](http://chris.pirillo.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) gets up to kick off [Gnomedex](http://gnomedex.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) and asks us to link to [this post](http://chris.pirillo.com/2006/06/30/techmeme-hacked/?ref=chrismessina.me) to [upset](http://techmeme.com/?ref=chrismessina.me#a060630p40) the TechMeme robots, well, I have to call party foul and mention that this party trick [isn't exactly new](http://www.horsepigcow.com/2006/06/i-so-hacked-techmeme-months-ago.html?ref=chrismessina.me). In fact, it was [done last year](http://www.horsepigcow.com/2005/11/hacking-memeorandum-101-screencast.html?ref=chrismessina.me), and there was even a screencast produced explaining how it works. If you're going to hack the echosphere's radar, man, at least provide [proper](http://horsepigcow.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [attribution](http://blogs.msdn.com/alexbarn/?ref=chrismessina.me)!

Attribution does not bother me at all, because "proper attribution" would likely lead you at least back to the Roman Empire, but at least do something new, interesting, and requiring some intelligence ;-)
