Hot on the heals of [SoundFlavor's release](http://factoryjoe.com/blog/2006/10/06/soundflavor-launches-a-new-way-to-discover-the-music-you-already-own/?ref=chrismessina.me) is [The Filter](http://www.thefilter.com/?ref=chrismessina.me), again, oddly [PC-only](http://www.thefilter.com/download.html?ref=chrismessina.me). It supposedly "creates perfect playlists" and [fills your "USB device"](http://www.thefilter.com/filler.html?ref=chrismessina.me). Unlike SoundFlavor, however, it [relies on user behavior](http://www.thefilter.com/faq.html?ref=chrismessina.me#q1) like [Last.fm](http://last.fm/?ref=chrismessina.me) to generate recommendations.
