[](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/266725923/?ref=chrismessina.me)So there were a [couple of announcements](http://twitter.com/blog/2006/10/twitter-updates.html?ref=chrismessina.me) from [Twitter](http://twitter.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) today (like status [permalinks](http://twitter.com/missrogue/statuses/41496?ref=chrismessina.me)), and one half-mentioned [Celly](http://twitter.com/celly?ref=chrismessina.me) \-- the cutest and most social thing to come out of Web 2.0 leveraging a [newly minted API](http://twitter.com/help/api?ref=chrismessina.me). As [Tara](http://horsepigcow.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) likes to say, "[Ev Williams](http://twitter.com/ev?ref=chrismessina.me) is my Tamagotchi!" Well, now the whole Twitter community can be your Tamagotchi with [Celly.app](http://factorycity.net/projects/celly/?ref=chrismessina.me). [Download it direct](http://www.factorycity.net/downloads/celly/celly.dmg?ref=chrismessina.me) or grab the [source](http://www.factorycity.net/projects/celly/source/celly.source.zip?ref=chrismessina.me). This is just [another neat WebKit app](http://webkit.pbwiki.com/ExistingProjects?ref=chrismessina.me) made possible by the work of [Josh Peek](http://joshpeek.com/?ref=chrismessina.me), [Chip Cuccio](http://chip.cuccio.us/?ref=chrismessina.me) and others.

does this mean you have to water Tara and feed her just like the original Tomadachi game?

Well, instead of water, I have to provide her Blue Bottle Coffee and wine. ;)
