[](http://blog.omnigroup.com/2006/11/02/omniweb-on-sale-throughout-november/?ref=chrismessina.me)Somehow it's only come to my attention that [OmniWeb](http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omniweb/?ref=chrismessina.me) is [on sale this month for a mere $10](http://blog.omnigroup.com/2006/11/02/omniweb-on-sale-throughout-november/?ref=chrismessina.me), *$20 off the regular price*. I know you've got a [lot](http://hmdt-web.net/shiira/index-e.html?ref=chrismessina.me) of [free](http://getfirefox.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) [choices](http://www.caminobrowser.org/?ref=chrismessina.me) [for](http://www.microsoft.com/mac/ie/?ref=chrismessina.me) [Mac](http://www.apple.com/safari/?ref=chrismessina.me) [browsers](http://flock.com/?ref=chrismessina.me), but the Omni folks are good people, make [excellent products](http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/?ref=chrismessina.me) and, hey, OmniWeb is worth it. So, before time expires, you really should consider [taking advantage](https://store.omnigroup.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) of this deal. Nothing's in it for me, it's just a really good deal for a really good piece of software!

I'm on OmniWeb right now, I'm having trouble deciding what to use as a secondary browser again; you're right there are many free choices for us Mac users...

\[...\] 3\. Super-long Acronyms. ITLSDLATKOAYPTYA Acronyms are great time savers in IM conversations. First there was ROTF, which stands for “rolling on the floor”. Then there was LMAO, which stands for “laughing my ass off”. And then some genius put them together to get, ROTFLMAO or “rolling on the floor laughing my ass off”. Acronyms as long as these encourage people to make up their own super-long acronyms. Mine above stands for “I’m talking like super-duper long acronymns. The kind of acronyms your parents told you about.” Next time you’re in an IM conversation with someone, try to throw a few of these super-longs in. It’s actually pretty amazing how well you can understand these, even when they’re made up on the fly. 4\. Lots of links next to each other. Another one I saw at Slashdot first. Excessive linking always meant as a joke, but there is often some humor with how the words connect to the material they are linking to. Chris Messina is one link-happy blogger who uses this technique a lot on his blog. Here are a few examples. \[...\]
