So at the meta level, lemme drop some tidbits. [](http://www.flickr.com/photos/termie/sets/212294/?ref=chrismessina.me)First of all, I'm moving. The three months I've spent at 19th and Valencia are coming to a close and I've found a jaunty little spot near the courthouse in Soma, in walking distance to [transportation](http://maps.yahoo.com/maps%5Fresult?ed=MrNIsup%5F0Tr3GhaOkNLzA2HGmvHMfVw-&csz=San+Francisco%2C+CA+94107&country=us&new=1&name=&qty=&ref=chrismessina.me) and [food](http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/soma/index.html?ref=chrismessina.me). That and serendipity once again intervened on my behalf and expired Andy Smith's (aka [Termie](http://anarkystic.com/blog/?ref=chrismessina.me)) Canadian working papers, causing him to return to Cali from Vancouver in need of a living situation. As such, molecules and electrons collided across the galaxy in such a way as to bring us together in apartment-searching and before long, we found a *culture pad* to suit our tastes. [](http://www.flickr.com/photos/termie/8695133/?ref=chrismessina.me)Besides relocating, I've been emerging socially. *In a big way*. I've met some absolutely terrific people in the short time that I've started going out in my evenings and I expect that they will all have profound and important influences on me, my priorities and my ideas, let alone my mental wellbeing! Just last night I ended up watching [*The City of Lost Children*](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?tag=factorycity-20&path=ASIN/B00000K3TS/ref=ed%5Foe%5Fdvd&ref=chrismessina.me) at [David Weekly's](http://david.weekly.org/?ref=chrismessina.me) place (of [CCCP](http://www.communitycolo.net/?ref=chrismessina.me) fame). How perfectly random! So besides growing [socially](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/sets/169503/?ref=chrismessina.me), I've been expanding sonically. In particular, I've stumbled upon an **amazing** mashup DJ called [PartyBen](http://www.partyben.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) from San Francisco's Live105 [Sixx Mixx](http://www.live105.com/music/sixx%5Fmixx/default.htm?ref=chrismessina.me). Not only has he got [phat beats](http://www.partyben.com/downloads/?ref=chrismessina.me), but damn, the dude mixes up all the best tunes.... I mean, [Closer & 50 Cent](http://rapidshare.de/files-en/586506/SIXX%5FMIXX%5F10%5F-%5F09%5F05%5F03%5F-%5FAll%5FBootleg%5FEdition.mp3.html?ref=chrismessina.me)? Or how about [Wonderwall and Boulevard of Broken Dreams](http://www.sixxmixx.com/PartyBen-BoulevardofBrokenSongs.mp3?ref=chrismessina.me)? [Downloads](http://mrose.org/sixxmixx/?ref=chrismessina.me) [aplenty](http://www.theendoftheline.org/sixxmixx/?ref=chrismessina.me) are available. Plus, this Saturday, I'm getting a bunch of friends together to check him out [live at Cherry Bar](http://www.bootiesf.com/?ref=chrismessina.me) on Folsom. Oh, and while I'm at it, I have to give a shout out to my man [Mandolux](http://www.mandolux.com/?ref=chrismessina.me), who's created [a killer desktop](http://mandolux.mine.nu/archive/2005/0327.html?ref=chrismessina.me) based on some [work](http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/archives/007823.html?ref=chrismessina.me) I had him help us with for Mozilla awhile back. This guy's been doing some amazing work for quite awhile and appreciates any and all [patronage](https://www.paypal.com/affil/pal=mando@mandolux.com?ref=chrismessina.me) you can muster. And I have one celebratory announcement to make: I've received my first [blogspam](http://www.flickr.com/photos/factoryjoe/8731158/?ref=chrismessina.me)! I feel truly honored to be amongst the many million who have been targetted for the benefit of someone else's casino business. Thankfully, [WordPress](http://www.wordpress.org/?ref=chrismessina.me) had my back. --- ### 💬 Comments from the original post **[Andy Smith](http://anarkystic.com/blog?ref=chrismessina.me)** · 2005-04-08 19:06:18 Cherry Bar just happens to be mere blocks from our *culture pad* **[Bala Pillai](http://www.malaysia.net/?ref=chrismessina.me)** · 2005-04-10 20:48:16 Hi Chris, have been reading your responses at Minciu Sodas.
