StrangeKiss is almost a month old but has barely been noticed, which is too bad, considering the caliber of the artists offering their wares on the site. For one, David Lanham, who was recently interviewed by Apple Matters and is one of the best digital illustrators and icon and interface designers around, is selling prints and other good stuff on the site, while also lending his design talents to the site itself. Second is Martin Laksman, king of the eggpeople and pioneer of the Consumer Way. Besides prints, StrangeKiss also offers toys, apparel and other oddities. But really, I'd highly recommend going to take a snoop around yourself.

[...] Chris Messina just posted great write-up on StrangeKiss, a new online store for art and toys that launched earlier this month. While browsing their website, I found things from my friends Attaboy and Alex Pardee, as well as a bunch of other great stuff. Mucho eye candy to be found on this website, including amazing artwork by David Lanham. The main mission of Strangekiss is to bring “Art back into Art”. We strive for diversity and want to push limits of the Status Quo as a forever-growing and changing entity. Strangekiss should first and foremost be considered an online gallery more than a store, as that is the vibe we want to impart upon our visitors and growing list of private collectors. illustration: Blob Attack by David Lanham tags: art (T) , Attaboy (T) , toys (T) , StrangeKiss (T) , David Lanham (T) , Alex Pardee (T) posted by Scott Beale on Sunday, October 29th, 2006 Comments RSS feed | Trackback URL [...]
[...] Bei Chris habe ich StrangeKiss gefunden, einem Shop für schräge Designerklamotten und -spielsachen. Und da Halloween vor der Tür steht sollte man sich noch schnell die passenden Plüschtiere besorgen: [...]
